Andalusian I Do

"We chose Hacienda Torrequemada because we wanted it to have that true, authentic Sevillian vibe. Our entire family came down from northern Spain, so we were so excited to give them a rich Andalusian experience — something totally different from what they’re used to at northern weddings. What made us fall completely in love with the venue, though, is that it offers a distinct space for every moment of the day. It allowed our guests to discover the estate step-by-step, turning the whole wedding into a really cool, unique journey"
"With the shoes, it was absolute love at first sight! I was on a business trip in New York, taking a walk through SoHo one afternoon, when I spotted them in the window. I walked in, tried them on, and fell head over heels! They had this super special, almost vintage touch that I hadn’t seen on other Spanish brides, so I knew instantly I had to have them. Plus, they felt like a pair I could wear again for endless occasions, always reminding me of this incredible day. And best of all: I danced non-stop from start to finish on our wedding day, and my feet didn’t hurt at all!"

"Valenzuela Atelier was at the top of my wishlist long before I even got engaged, but the moment I had my first fitting, I knew for sure. I immediately felt they completely got what I was looking for: an asymmetrical neckline, a structured bodice that sculpted the silhouette, and a beautifully flowy skirt.
"I trusted them completely and gave them full creative freedom, making the whole process such a dream—I was genuinely thrilled for every single fitting. In the end, we created a dress that transformed throughout the day: we started with a grand train for the church ceremony that detached later into an ultra-comfortable gown to dance the night away, featuring two gorgeous mini-trains cascading from the back of the corset."
"What I enjoyed most about planning was designing every single moment so our guests would have the time of their lives, keeping them surprised while making sure the wedding felt 100% true to who we are as a couple. For instance, thinking of my most special guests — my bridesmaids — I deeply cherish the afternoons I spent with my mother hand-embroidering personalized fans for each of them as gifts.
"On that note, I think our best decision was keeping an air of mystery and not revealing anything to the guests beforehand — neither the menu, nor the venue details, nor the schedule — so everything felt even more thrilling on the day.
"In Spain, there's a tradition of surprising a special friend who's getting married soon with a bouquet of flowers during dinner, but I decided to give it to my only single friend, so she wasn't expecting it and it was very exciting.
"As for a secret I learned? The key to a stress-free experience is trusting vendors who genuinely understand your vision and creating a celebration that stays true to your essence, without following trends that don't feel like you. In the end, that authenticity is what makes everything flow and feel truly magical."

"From the ceremony, my absolute favorite moment was entering the church to a live performance of a Holy Week procession march by two violinists and an organ — it gave me goosebumps. But designing the dinner setting was where I truly poured my heart in. I wanted to create a dreamlike atmosphere, recreating a true summer evening under candlelight with endless long tables filled with pastel-toned carnations. Working side-by-side with my florist to bring that vision to life was amazing, and it turned out exactly as I had imagined."
"I don't think I could ever forget a single moment, but two are forever etched in my mind. The first was stepping out of the car, having my best friends arrange my train, and walking down the aisle on my father’s arm. Seeing my husband-to-be waiting for me at the altar, crying, so emotional, and walking down that aisle looking left and right at all the people who love us, so happy for us... it was an indescribable feeling. And the other wonderful moment was right before leaving home, when my bridesmaids came to see me. They were the very first ones to see me in my wedding dress, and that moment of walking down the stairs and seeing them there... beside making me feel endlessly lucky, it instantly washed away all my nerves."
