Happy new Year
Jessie's "In" List
New year, new obsessions. Discover the pieces Jessie's loving for 2024.
1. Moiré Mary Janes
I live in these beauties. Some of the most comfortable and versatile shoes we’ve ever made. I love how I can dress them up or down.
2. Ballet Core
I’ve been mesmerized by the ballet videos on the instagram account @al.longe. I could watch them all day.
3. Movie Magic
I saw "Saltburn" in theaters when I was in London. I loved this movie SO much. It’s weird, gross, thought-provoking, spooky and totally brilliant. Plus, I LOVE the hand-drawn titles.
4. On Display
"Copy Machine Manifestos: Artists Who Make Zines" Is currently on display at the Brooklyn Museum. I took my daughter, who goes to art school, to this exhibit a few weeks ago. I’ve always been a fan of handmade things. Really inspiring!
5. Book Club
My brother recommended I read "Eileen" by Ottessa Moshfegh. It is one of the most well-written books I’ve ever read. If you want to be inspired by the craft of writing, read this book. The ending is brutal and a bit hard to take, but it's all pure genius.
6. Mug Shot
I got the sweetest personalized mug by Emma Bridgewater for Christmas and I love it. I’m going to use it to store my favorite magic pens.
7. Master Class
I have my calendar set for when Tess Newall’s Create Academy course "An Introduction To Decorative Painting" goes live this spring. I really like Create Academy — their gorgeously-filmed courses are so informative. I’ve watched Rita Konig and Miles Redd is on my list!
8. Meet Emilie
I’m so excited to get our new pleated skirt — it’s like the Penny shoe in clothing form. It’s soft and stretchy and so easy to outfit with everything in my closet.
9. Best In Bow
Margot is one of the designs I am most proud of this year. The bow is both over the top and supremely chic at the same time. We are sold out of other colors of this style (restocking some for spring!) but this cream satin still has a few sizes left on our site.
10. Soft Stuff
Our sweet green hat. I love having a cold-weather accessory that's a little wonky in color.
11. Say "Thank You"
My friend Susie turned me onto the HiNOTE app. I’m a huge fan of the handwritten and mailed note, but sometimes this is the next best thing — beautifully designed and customizable text stationery.
12. Top Track
Re: Saltburn. I’m playing this on repeat — the whole Sophie Ellis-Bextor oeuvre actually!
