I spent months searching for the right boat shoes. These are an all-time fave purchase. Leather is extremely soft but durable. I have slightly wider than average feet and most flats give me blisters. Not these. Not at the heel or near the tongue. I’ve had them about a year and wear them with and without socks, both scenarios are extremely comfy. I’ve worn them hard, wearing them as far into last winter as possible, and they have held up beautifully. They have sort of molded to the shape of my feet perfectly but without any pain of breaking in.
Ultimately, I wanted a boat shoe that felt like it was from a ‘90s catalog and that would just get better with wear and these are exactly that. The chocolate brown is rich and substantial looking. Worth the money. Thank you, Loeffler Randall, for making such a beautiful, comfortable, and durable shoe!

Great shoes, very high quality leather with no need for breaking-in. The insole is very comfortable and the sole is flexible. A great every day shoe! Definitely size up (1/2 size). Highly recommend.
These are amazing!
I was expecting a shoe that would have needed to be broken in, but I was pleasantly surprised by how comfy this shoe is. The insole is nice and squishy. Only downside is that it runs a bit small and is kind of narrow, so they only really work with thin trouser socks.
